Mitchell is one of the hottest bass players today!  His sound is unique. He has earned recognition from listeners and his contemporaries. His playing style is filled with warmth and excitement.   

Whether performing traditional jazz, contemporary jazz, R&B, funk, gospel, or original music, the audience will be astounded by his professionalism.  He's had performances in Europe and Asia, one of which included opening for noted artists such as Dizzy Gillespie and the United Nations Orchestra, the McCoy Tyner All Stars, and the Terence Blanchard Quintet.

As a busy professional, Mitchell has shared the stage with such notable entertainers as Moon August, Marcus Johnson, O'Donnell Levy, Larry Bright, Moe Daniels,  Sheila Ford, Gabrielle Goodman, Calvin Yarbrough of Yarbrough & Peoples, Tracy Hamlin, George Gray, Greg Hatza, Dennis Chambers, Greg Grainger, and Gary Thomas just to name a few.
